Silver Liningness Sunday

Alice - so SEXAY!
Greetings on this cold, blustery Sunday.  'bout time!  Really, as much as I was loving the mild December weather this week, we need some moisture now, and it's just WRONG to get rain in Colorado in December.  Also, it's been so mild that my allergy symptoms had returned.  I'm thankful for Zicam Allergy Relief snort, and I'm thankful that it is currently cold and snowing.

I took the above photo of Alice earlier this week for the Pedal Perks community blog, and thought I'd share it here too.  As you know, I've been somewhat inappropriately spending time with Wolfgang's bicycle Louie.  Alice and Bella don't really approve, but it is what it is.  When I was with Alice, she seemed to want to drive her various attributes home to me, and she did quite convincingly, Goose Poop Queen that she is.

And I'm looking forward to the arrival of the leg warmer prize.  With my luck, that won't happen until summer, but oh well.  I did get some new underpants this week, so I can bask in feeling good all under!

The semester is coming to a close, and my final projects are finished.  I've enjoyed my classes and am looking forward to the next round.  Just ordered my book$$$...

On that note, I'm thankful that amazon sells used textbooks and then buys them back at much better prices than the university bookstore (ripoff!)

In other shopping news, we're 2/3 of the way done with our Christmas gift-getting.  I don't know about anyone else, but I'm usually a pretty responsible spender and non-spoiler of children.  It likely goes back to the decision for me to be a stay-at-home-mom, but at Christmas, I just want to buy the kids EVERYTHING!

Can't take it with you...

Bravo for being 2/3rd done. I think I am more like 1/10th at this stage, but, I am scouring the interweb for the most fantastic, amazing, totally awesome gifts available. Of course, momma Agg tends to be the wet blanket on these deals with some sort of nonsense about "budget". Pffft. It is at this point of the year that I tend to go a wee bit overboard with gifts. Maybe I need therapy.

Good to see you paying homage to Alice. Louie may be all sexy and muscular, but, after all, Alice did help you get the leggings, no?

Alice is looking spectacular! Her visit to the spa done her good!

We're having really warm weather, but no sunshine. So it's sort of misty, muddy, gray and gloomy. And I find myself actually wishing for snow! (Don't tell!)

And as grown up as my kids are, I too want to buy them everything they wish for at Christmas. (Lucky for me, their big wishes are very manageable this year.)

Used books are definitely the way to go. We did the same things the short time my boys were in school. :/
Alice is lookin' hot! I'm sure she's thrilled you've noticed. But will she be going into hibernation soon? She'll need to rest up for her comeback this spring.
And congrats on being 2/3 of the way done! I love to splurge on the kids, Mario especially, but Hubby tries to keep me reigned in. We tend to find a happy medium.
Enjoy your Christmas break - although it seems like you just got off a break..... ;)

Yes, I need to channel some Momma Agg. And you betcha, those leg warmers are from Alice!

Well, I hope you at least see some sun soon! Our snow wasn't much, but we'll take what we can get.

Alice is supposed to be hibernating, after her trip to the spa, now it's time for more beauty sleep. But it was so nice out, we couldn't resist a spin!

It does seem like I just got off a break! I won't complain.

Nice tasteful pic of Alice - glad you did not make it too sleezy!
Books are a big expense, especially with the ones that have a new edition every year and a half...
We are mostly done for Christmas, just a few extras that I am sure will sneak in sonewhere along the line. Nothing wrong with a bit of excess at Christmas, is there?

It's good you gave Alice a nice, glitzy photo. I could tell she was feeling a little left out over Louie.

We have gone over the top on the Christmas spending this year also, but it is easy when most all the family lives somewhere else, shipping is horrible and thanks to Amazons free two day shipping we have had a bit more to spend:)

Alice sure takes a good picture :)

Nope, no sleeze here! Well...

Abby said...

Yeah, she kinda let me have it over Louie - not one to sit and pout about being left out.

I do love me some amazon prime!

Since it is a little over a week till Christmas, I can thankfully say I am finished with my shopping. However, I must say the presents will probably not be there in time for them to open on Christmas. Oh well. My kids are used to me and thankfully they love me anyway.

Great pic of Alice, good image with light streaks, makes her look like lightening speedster bike!

Sorry to be away so long! My husband's been on holiday and we have been busy, busy getting ready for Christmas. Our shopping is almost done, but I am with you: I want to spoil my kids at Christmas. The January credit card bill which will contain major car repairs is hindrance enough, however. So, what did we do? We bought a new LED tv. Our old Sony Trinatron just didn't cut the mustard any longer. It's a gift for the whole fam-damily :)

P.S. I would love Alice to meet Iris, but I'm sure Alice would kick her butt soundly.

That is enough bikes for an orgy! ;)

Abby said...

Of course they love you (anyway)!

As our kids have gotten older, they're harder to spoil because they just buy stuff when they want it. How rude!

Happy viewing! We got a new TV a few Christmases ago. Even though we don't watch much, it's nice when we do.

I'm sure Alice would love meeting Iris, but Alice CAN be a bit of a diva.

You would think of that...
