I KNOW because as I type this, the toads are having sex.
They've been pretty quiet through the winter months, but I was sitting here doing some work when I heard the telltale sexy sounds of toad barking. Ooh, it's been so long...
I don't know what's needed as far as incubating toad babies, and I guess we won't worry about it unless things escalate beyond recreation.
Speaking of recreation, official Bash the Bluffs results came in. My time was actually 22:34 which shaved a whole second off of the unofficial time. I'll take what I can get. I also managed to make a few of the event gallery pics.
Prize if you can spot me and the "magentas":
And I managed to make this Baywatch-esque shot in the lonely homestretch, except there's no beach, no ocean, and no babe, but a possible medical emergency.
Yes, I know the photos are bleeding over into my sidebar. I blame the template.
Happy Spring!

Barking during sex? That's a bit much.
Congrats on your official time!
I laughed out loud at your Baywatch comment. IMO, Pam has nothing on you. Bet SHE couldn't get up that hill....
Barking frogs? Spring is here! Enjoy the "shagging" while it lasts! (I learned that from RC)
They are quite the randy threesome, let me tell you.
Pam Anderson - no, I definitely would not want to lug those up Killer Hill.
RC is great for new vocabulary. Makes me miss my lollipop lady days.
Yes, your Baywatch comment made me laugh, too. Glad there was no medical emergency!
p.s. We are seeing (and hearing) bird sex in our yard...
A medical emergency might put a damper on the photo gallery, so I managed to keep it together. Birds have sex?
I'm at work and am reluctant to Google BIRD SEX for fear of getting paid a visit by HR to discuss my surfing habits, but that's the best I can figure. They didn't seem to be fighting...
Looks like a sweet run on a beatiful day! But are you chasing the magenta or vice-versa? Either way, great performance -- with or without a Pair o' Pamela's
It was a perfect morning for such a thing, ya never know with April around here!
That pic was coming over the first hill crest, when the magentas were still chasing me and my non Pamela's.
It's a fine line, but you're probably right.
Congratulations! And I like your tank better than the magentas. :)
My dog is loving that the toads are at it. Should provide her with some good toad stomping during our nightly bedtime peepee walk.
Toad babies could be kind of cute and fun. Pictures, please, if the recreation results in pregnancies!
Congrats on your new and improved finishing time! And you look really at ease in the pictures! You're a pro at this running business.
