Silver Liningness Sunday

Whew, I'm a little late with the silver liningness post this week.  I've been "travelling".

Who can even guess what we got him?

But first, top billing this week goes to Chaco.

Today's his birthday, so Mother's Day in January for me.  We've had a nice weekend.

And Napolion is thrilled with "his gift".

So today was pretty much filled.  Meego returned to school this week, and Magnum back to the office, so it's starting to feel a little like back in the groove, which is a good thing.

I managed a quick visit with Top Secret brother Hagrid and his wife this week too.  No photos, or else I'd have to kill ya.

I see the Broncos won today, so the orange hype will continue for at least another week.  Looks like I picked the wrong year to retire from being a crossing guard, that orange vest would be in high fashion.

We were rebels and, instead of watching the game, we went to see The Hobbit in 3D at the IMAX theater.  Yee - EESH, I'm still coming down from my travels to Middle Earth.  Good movie, I liked it better than the first, but I saw that one on our 2D very non-IMAX television, so it's not really a fair fight.

And now... the laundry.

I liked this Hobbit better than the first as well. I need to see it again and review it.

I have yet to go see the Hobbit. I know it will be over the top, all sorts of Middle Earth fun, I am just trying to work it into the schedule. Maybe this upcoming weekend.

Congrats on your Broncos. An excellent game! I may have to root for orange (goes against my genes) over those pretty boys from SF.

I missed the Hobbit at the cinemas here, so I will have to wait for the DVD to come out - could be a birthday present, I guess!

Somehow I got sidetracked on your blog and found the pictures of you with Marky Mark and Johnny Depp (I, too, sometimes go out with JD). Oh - and you look aMAzing with Marky!

Still can't figure out what that birthday gift is/was. The expression on Chaco's face makes him appear similarly confounded...

Napolion is adorable in his box. What is it with cats and boxes? Think of the money we could save on toys they scorn if we just gave them used boxes and the occasional scrap of paper.

Yes, do! I'm interested to read your review.

Middle Earth fun it was. I rarely go to the theater anymore for movies, so 3D at IMAX was quite a rush.

I'd like to see a Broncos v. 49ers Superbowl this year, but then I might be cheering for the pretty boys...

I can't decide which I liked better. The Hobbit or Sharknado...

Poor Johnny Depp, someone's got to take pity on him. And my underwear model days were quite fun.
I've heard the box trick works for most all felines, including the big ones. I'm not about to try it in the wild though.

I give. What did he get?
Welcome back from your travels to Middle Earth. I think I'd rather just go to Florida. But I'm glad you had fun!
Nice that you got to see Hagrid, and thanks for not telling us stuff we shouldn't know.
My family's finally getting back on schedule as well. We were ALL ready for it. Do you start back this week too?

It doesn't matter what I get specifically for my cats, they won't sit or sleep in it. However, boxes that are in line to be recycled, or ones that have had gifts in them - bonanza!

Winter semester starts next week - end of the sloth! Wolfgang is taking a one-week concentrated course this week, started Monday, ends Thursday. Wish I could crank some of mine out like that!

We had a cat for whom most cat stereotypes were "beneath" him, so boxes were never a guarantee. Our other cat was too wild to mess with man-made objects. Napolion is a total lemming.

Nice wrapping paper. Whatever it was that Chaco received as a present, he doesn't look too impressed! :D

Chaco said he was going to throw his gift in a lake, so it's inconclusive as to whether he likes it or not!

Happy Birthday to Chaco! I'm guessing his gift is.... a bumble bee shirt? a life vest? Ummm.... all out of guesses. What'd he get?

It IS good to get back in routine, as nice as the holiday groove can be, isn't it?

I have not seen any of the Hobbit movies. I know, I know. Everyone keeps telling me I'm missing good stuff! One of these days...

My plan was to actually read The Hobbit before seeing the movies, but the movie people don't seem to care about my plans.
And a bumble bee shirt life vest is very close! But not... might have to explain in another post.

Sorry. I mixed my teams there and the iPad wouldn't let me fix it. I am sure you would be rooting for Manning over Brady. Should be a great game. As an old Cowboys fan, I am not allowed to root for the Broncos, but I am really hoping you kick butt.
