This week's Illustration Friday prompt is "heights", and it's no secret that I am ridiculously acrophobic.
I was going to do a hot air balloon illustration, but it just didn't fit my mood. If I could be free from the fear of heights for a day, I think I would enjoy swinging acrobatically above the skyscrapers a la Spiderman with nothing but wisps of webbing to keep me up.
Imagine it, my hair flapping gracefully, my legs and arms working together as I sweep gracefully above the city.
No freaking way.

Ahhh... Spiderman - Everybody's favorite. Is he still around? Maybe he can let us in on his secret.
I have the height problem, too - and it would be on my list of things that I would change if I could.
I'm okay with heights, but sometimes my feet and hands tingle when I think about having to hold on to a ledge.
I love rock climbing though - so similar to Spidey.
And I like that you showed us the progression of your work!
Well done, once again! :)
Actually, I always worry for his bladder whenever I watch the scene of him flying around in the movie. That must really work his bladder, no? And that costume can't be easy to work with if you really have to go!
Lovely illustration by the way. Great work on the anatomy.
Casey is super jealous of your ability to create one of his main heroes ;) GREAT JOB!
I love me some Spiderman. Not the Toby Maguire version, but the 1970s cartoon version, which yours reminds me of!
I don't think I'm TOO afraid of heights, but I don't see myself swinging from skyscrapers any time soon! Wonderful perspective!
I'd really love to see YOU as spiderman - swinging gracefully across the city - no, sorry, I meant to say, freaking out and making it across the city somehow anyway. Great layout for this post, btw.
