Meego came home from school today and said those words every mom wants to hear.
"There's a dead rabbit on our picnic table"
What?
"Well, not on the table. On one of the benches"
Oh, well that's different then.
So, if I had to look at it, so do you:
- One dead bunny (what remains)
- One (full) killer cat
- Meego's size 10.5 feet for scale
At least Napolion left me one foot (upper left).
For luck.

Well.... what can I say good about this? At least it was REALLY dead. Like LONG gone. And no longer looked cute. Cute would make this a little harder to accept, I think.
I guess I didn't think cats went after rabbits! I thought it was just the icky stuff, like mice and other rodents.
Oh, you must be so proud. :/
And Napolion must have a belly ache. Sheesh! I must say, though, that I am quite impressed with his hunting skills. Who were his ancestors?
It's kinda creepy, actually. He doesn't kill the bunnies right away. He "befriends" them, and they play for quite a while. Then when everyone's all happy and bonded, he kills them. They probably taste better that way.
Magnum and I were considering the size and figured it's about like one of us eating a whole goat...*erp*
I'm impressed. How was it even recognizable as a rabbit?
Wow I had no idea that a cat would kill and eat a rabbit. Mind you we had indoor cats, so what would I know about that? Ours would kill a mouse, but they wouldn't eat it.
It was the leftover hind foot that sealed the ID.
Plus, we live among lots of bunnies. One less, now.
He often kills mice and gophers for "sport" and doesn't eat them. And he usually likes to play with the rabbits, but lets them go. We suspect this carnage is due to his release from the recent cabin fever?
That's one badass gato.
But with a creepy streak.....
His skills are pretty creepy. Should come in handy for the apocalypse.
O. M. G!
Funny, creepy, and amazing.
And the video... :)
Ah, don't you just love it when the kids bring home their conquests? Looks like Napolion's pretty pleased with himself. I would consider it lucky that Napolion didn't bring his trophy inside this time.
Your cat got carried away and forgot to share. But, hey, bones make good soup.
