Silver Liningness Sunday

I don't know about anyone else, but the weather here is B-E-A-Utiful!  Especially for early December.  Doesn't Mother Nature know I've got projects due this week!?

In movie news, we actually saw two goodies this week.  Tom Cruise's Edge of Tomorrow was the more manly of the two, I'd say.  Then Magnum and I also watched The One I Love which was maybe the more feminine - no explosions anyway.  So two very different movies, but both worth the watch.  We'd never heard of The One I Love, but it had good reviews.  It gets kind of Twilight Zonish, which was fun.

And our nice weather has been helping with progress on the backyard walls.  Magnum's been working, with some help from Meego. I've done nothing other than order stuff, write checks, watch, and write up an overly thick analysis of the whole thing for school.

And I did make decent progress on another project this weekend, but then I just couldn't take it anymore and had to go play outside.  I figured I'd go for a short bike ride for a nice break.

Two hours later *sigh* I returned  home.  It's just SO nice out, and I took Wolfgang's bike, Louie again.  We ended up going all the way...
... into the city.  Here he is, just oozing sex appeal.

See, the thing that makes him so special is that he's got that muscular frame, but Wolfgang put on some sexy, sinewy, smooth, super fast tires on him over the summer.  So if there's no snow or mud around, he's just IRRESISTIBLE!  I can't be blamed for my actions!

I'd like to say, I got right back to work when we returned home, but instead I'm here blogging.  And that's after I gave Louie a bath while listening to Boy Band music.

I can't fight it.  If loving him is wrong, I just don't wanna be right.

Boy. I haven't lusted over anything in a long while. I need some excitement in my life! Don't worry, Louie isn't doing it for me. I mean he's got a lot going for him, but I'm still a bit gun shy with that type of guy. I need something though. Maybe I need to be patient and see if one of MY kids' "friends" start turning me on.
As for your wall, it looks fantastic! And your part in it is just as important as theirs!
But weather-wise, we are NOT having beautiful weather. Keeping it all to yourself?

Well, I understand it's tough. You've got good reason to have trust issues, but I gotta say, the cougar lifestyle has its perks!

The wall is shaping up nicely, and even if it weren't, we still have all those pallets of stones to block the view of the ugly hill.

Will add your movie ratings to our cue. Oh, and nice wall. Lookin' good!

Oh, did Barb sneak out with her son's bike too?

I can see myself going with The One I Love. Is Netfix your source of movies? I know absolutely nothing about how it works, but Girl#3 is begging for it. Guess I'll look into it.

Glad you and Louie had a good time together.

Yep, we usually hunt around and find things to watch on Netflix, which is how we find these things we've never heard of. Netflix is pretty easy, although we've subscribed for a long time. Just go to the website and say you want to give them money. They make it pretty easy.

The big movies like Edge of Tomorrow aren't typically available for streaming, but I can get those from the library if I'm patient.

A movie with no explosions?
Do such things exist?
Must be one of those ones that stars Jennifer Aniston or something, I guess. Can't imagine her movies having explosions...

Nice wall you've got going there. Are you shooting to have it done before the spring melt?

I've got the Edge of Tomorrow up next in my queue. Right now I am on the road again plowing through The House of Cards (season 2). There is always something interesting to find on Netflix if your willing to look hard. Although, I've found some real stinkers as well.

And the affair with Louie continues??? Don't you realize this will only lead to headache and hurt feelings?

Abby said...

Yes! Explosionless movies do exist, and I can sometimes trick Magnum into watching one!

We are hoping to have the pile of stones turned into some decent walls in time for spring. Time will tell!
Netflix comes in handy, but there are some duds in there!

Alas, Louie. Who knew he'd be the cause of such inner conflict?

I love how you name your bikes people names :)

Doesn't everyone?
