That's it. That's all I got.
I FINALLY got out my art toys to join in the Illustration Friday fun again this weekend and started this sketch of Zach Galifianakis.
But then it looks like we are going for a hike. What? The whole family is in easy agreement on a weekend activity? What?!
So Zach will have to wait, I'm heading for the great outdoors.
It seems appropriate since this IS Pikes Peak International Hill Climb weekend. A variety of categories of motorized vehicles race up the mountain. It's a popular annual event, and the last two years, it was postponed because there were nearby things burning.
But not this year, hooray!
So we're going to go out and climb a hill. It won't be Pikes Peak, and it won't be very fast.

I don't blame you for dropping everything and hittin' the hill with the family. And I don't think anybody will mind if your Illustration Friday comes out on Sunday or Monday or never... after all, if the topic was beard, you're done!
I love that you don't take your surroundings for granted. Seems like you're always taking advantage of the "hills" around you. Looking forward to seeing some pics! Even though they bring out the green-eyed monster in me.
It turned out to be a perfect day for it! Sunny, not too hot, no sudden storms... It wasn't easy, but I did manage a few pics when no one was looking.
Time with the family in the great outdoors is an excellent trade-off for playing inside. Smart choice to go for it. And I'm sure good fun was had by all.
Getting the family out on the trail is always a good excuse. And you guys have so many great trails up into the hills to explore.
You are a really good artist, you know?
