  1. I'm loving the fact that we're finally having a REAL snow day over here and I am DYING laughing at your drawings today.

I especially love the drawing "Abby walking home from school"

And wait - did you return a lost dog to it's owner?

    1. Glad you finally got your real snow instead of dreary rain. Bundle up!
And yeah, that little pooch was just out whooping it up around the neighborhood. Fun to learn his name is Rifle!

  2. For some reason, as I watched your animations I thought "Awww. I love that woman."

You are an inspiration to me, (a person who can never think of something different to post about) and you were fantastic! Now I want a dry erase board too.

    1. Omigosh, this from the woman who had my sides splitting over a post about a sleep study!?! I'm humbled!!

And you NEED a dry erase board, trust me.

  3. p.s. I also would NEVER be able to figure out how to do the photography/animation then upload it. I'm a waste of oxygen. *sniff*

    1. "waste of oxygen" - STOP! And I bet you could figure it out! Step one is to get a video camera and make one of your kids think it's really for him.

  4. Ok, THAT was adorable....on so many levels. The cartoony artwork; the bundled-up Abby; the struggle of the music; the not-so-cartoony Rifle owner; the Happy Ending. I watched it 3 times -- and I never do that.

    Bravo!

    1. I'm flattered you watched it 3 times! But... it is pretty deep... it seemed a saga worthy of Beethoven.

  5. I don't think this story could have been "told" any better. The drawings are absolutely adorable and the music is a perfect fit!
I hope our guests from last week will have the same happy ending. They brought two pets to St. Louis. One got away from them and they had to return home without him. I pray every day that he will be found and brought to a vet or humane society where they can read his chip. Your little story gives me great hope. :)

    1. How worrisome! It's bad enough to have a pet run off from home, but to have that happen in unfamiliar territory would be awful. Yeah, hopefully Rifle's story gets the blog juju working!

  6. I love this! Wonderful drawings and love the music with it too -- plus a happy ending! I was in such a grouchy mood before watching this, and now I can't stop smiling. Thanks!!

  8. Wow! Those drawings were fantastic. What a cool talent. Loved it. Have you made a "draw my life" video? (It's a thing on YouTube.) I made one and it was really fun, but I can't draw, so yours would be REALLY fun.

    1. I've seen a few DML vids (including yours!), and they look like fun... but I don't know if MY life is interesting enough! Might do one for grins though, :)

    2. I'd love to see it! I didn't feel mine was interesting enough either, but somehow they're cool when told in bad drawings (mine) or good drawings (yours).

  9. That. Was. COOL!

So good of you to rescue a lost dog. I know Rifle's owner must have been so grateful to you. It's too cold out for our fur friends to be out for any length of time.

  10. All of the above; i.e., what they said... Well, most of it. No oxygen wasting in my house!

I especially liked your recurring thermometer.

    Great post.!
