Stop and Smell the Roses Sunday

Dear Blog,

new friends!

Greetings from Nerdtopia!  It's time once again for Denver Comic Con, so how could we resist?

So yeah, the family and I have taken a little side trip to stop and smell the roses and zombies and superheroes and video game people and stuff I have no idea what's.

KITT!

The place was a bit of a zoo for some as word got out about how fun it was last year.  Compared to others, though, we fared all right.  Got in Saturday with less than an hour wait and then walked right in this morning.  Good times all around!

As expected, it was once again People Watching Palooza.  Chaco met George Takei at the hotel gym - just a few minutes after I'd left - harummph!

Once I'm down from my nerd high, I'll be around to visit my fave-O blogs.  In the meantime, I'm so looking forward to wearing my new Hello-Kitty-as-a-Storm-Trooper t-shirt!

I was wondering where you've been! The zombies and superheros got ya!
How cool that Chaco got to meet(?) George Takei. (I had to look him up. But I kinda recognize him.) Perhaps one more mile on the treadmill would have allowed you to meet him too!
Hello-Kitty-as-a-storm-trooper sounds like the perfect shirt for you. Be sure to model it for us!

I got a bit overwhelmed with all the people. (and hot) Otherwise, I'd have waited in line for George Takei.

Nice friend, Bat Girl! I can just imagine you had your inner geek on high alert. Pictures. We need more pictures. We had our own comic-con down here over Memorial day but I couldn't make out to the show.

And Chaco got to meet George Takei? Oh, My!

You MUST show us that t-shirt! It sounds great!

Yeah, we weren't even using the gym but being rebels and running around the hotel (stairway). We stopped by the gym afterwards, I opened the door for some random bearded guy, Chaco gets GT. Figures.

It did have an "overbooked!" feel to it this year.

We got a few more pics. It was more crowded this year than last, but less cosplay I think. Everyone was a friendly geek though!

I love the shirt! How nice of them to make it just for me!

I have an "I LOVE DARYL" shirt but no one here in the true WALKING DEAD state knows what it means.

Hello Kitty as a Storm Trooper? Very paradoxical! I love it!

I think I would attend just to see KITT! I take it David Hasselhoff didn't participate?

I dig the Batman t-shirt.

I'm not really a trekkie, but I love George T's facebook page.

They'd love you at the Con!

KITT was pretty cool. I wanted a pic of Herbie the Love Bug, but my "entourage" didn't feel it was a purist comic con car! I did not spot The Hoff anywhere...

Last year's acquisition.

Yep, that looks like Nerdtopia. I probably would have had fun too - as one who is unfamiliar with these things. :)

Add me to the list of the curious, who is waiting to see the Hello Kitty storm trooper t-shirt!
