Got my turkey S-L-O-W cooking, put it in at bedtime last night. So now it's officially Thanksgiving and I'm in more of a cooking mood. We went out yesterday, got some fresh air at a local park and got rid of the domestic doldrums, so now I'm ready for some culinary adventures.
Chaco and Wolfgang cut up the park sidewalks with their rollerblades while Meego terrorized some ducks and geese for a while before hitting the playground aparati.
It was a nice day to get out. I'd been feeling a little caged with Magnum and the kids all home from work and school this week. Causing ruckuses and making messes and talking about the food they're going to eat - that just magically appears in that fantasy land of theirs. I was feeling a bit abused.
So the fresh air and people watching the park provided was a good thing. Got outside the box.

Looks like it was a beautiful day to be at the park. Love the pics! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you, too.
ReplyDeleteI was underwhelmed with the meal I cooked - not my favorite :( But the hubby and kid liked it so that was good.
Happy Day After!
ReplyDeleteWe had a great day over here at my sister's. I think we're going hiking in the hills this afternoon! Looks like your Thanksgiving was happy.
Now I have to go webdings my name....and yes 2 bikes is just appropriate.
Happy Turkey Day - a day later! Slow cooking the turkey sounds like a heavenly idea? Did you do it in a roaster, or how? It would really keep it moist and tender cooking it like that, I bet!
ReplyDeleteI envy your beautiful weather - it looks almost warm! Have a great weekend!
Happy Givethanksing!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great week - looks warmer there than here!
