On Monday, we got some new windows.
The guys arrived just a couple of hours into our record breaking low-temperature morning. Not the best time to have a good portion of windows gone from the house. But the sun was shining - on the other side of the house, of course - and the temperatures crept up out of the teens eventually.
In the end, we're happy with the new windows:
In fact, we're so happy with the new windows, we couldn't bring ourselves to rehang the old tired blinds that covered our old tired windows. Guess we're going shopping for new window treatments now. Any suggestions?

The week continued with a mix of tutees, P.E.O., and
I checked in with Wolfgang and he's behinder than I am. Yes, I know "behinder" isn't a word, but my blog.
Speaking of writing skillz, I came across this and needed to steal it for some tutees who claim to have never actually seen a semicolon "irl" :
Happy Friday, y'all! ;)

LOL! That is hilarious! I know it is more than a winking face but I honestly do not think I have a clue how to use one of these correctly...LOL!!! Thanks for the laugh!! Congrats on the new windows - they look great!
Oh, I loved this.
As for the windows, blinds, and drapes. I love that look - as you can see by my home. :-) oh c'mon I had to put that there.
Ann, I remember how to use a semicolon; I hardly ever do :)
Margaret, so does your carpet match the drapes? Nevermind, don't answer...
Lovely windows! We did that ourselves not so long ago, and quickly discovered how expensive new blinds can be. Some friends very enthusiastically encouraged us to look at Select Blinds (selectblinds.com) and we ended up buying from them. I highly recommend!
Also, "behinder" is totally a word. We use it on our bowling team. When you don't knock down all of your pins and you have a situation where there's one pin still standing immediately behind another ... that's the behinder pin. :-)
I'm the behindest since I never actually started Inktober. Still thinking about it though. Maybe I'll do one yet. Congrats to the bionic girl and to you for your windows. May you see many sunny days through them. I must share your semicolon pic with someone :)
Thanks for the giggle! I needed it today.
Your windows look great, but I’m not the one to offer any advice. I’ve used sheets in the past to cover our windows.
Great looking bulldog! :)
Tee, thanks for the recommendation! After our extensive research (a.k.a Tee says selectblinds.com), I think we're gonna go with selectblinds.com :)
Linda, the month of Inktober is still young!
SR300, I'm guilty of using sheets as window treatments too. Thanks for being the first to confess!
