Neck. Hand. Chest. In that order.
This time, it's the inside of my thigh. I'm hoping it was just a glancing blow, an inadvertent collision. When I felt it happen, I immediately stopped to check for and remove a stinger, but didn't see one.
Of course it has now also begun to swell. I'm hoping my right leg doesn't eventually take on the appearance of a fully grown adult manatee.

I hope the stinging insects have had enough of you for the summer.
Well that's what you get for being outside so much! Haha. I've only ever been stung by a bee once, when I was 8 or 9, on the foot. Then when I was in my 30's I got bit by some type of ant. It burned like a mother all night long. I never knew ant bites could hurt that much.
Me too!
We were hiking over the weekend and encountered some poison ivy. I was all, "Whew, glad it didn't get me!" Then this. Shoulda kept my mouth shut! Such big discomfort from such small creatures!
I think you have paid your dues in the being stung department, hopefully the reaction won't be too bad.
Thanks, Jimmy. But apparently the bugs don't agree with you. We're in manatee leg land now.
What is it with you? Is it because you're so allergic that they seek you out? I've only been stung a couple of times in my life, and it's hurt like heck, but after a few minutes I've got nothing to show for it. No proof that I'm in a lot of pain. You on the other hand have proof! Life-size manatee proof.
