But who am I kidding. I know there's more snow and cold in our near future. I can remember the kids getting at least one snow day in every April we've lived here. And I'm okay with it because at least the grass is trying to green up, and the birds are chirping, and the toads are horny.
This was a nice week. It was productive and busy as we slid into spring break at school, and now we're passed the midterm mark for this semester. Chaco and Wolfgang are also both having good semesters, so I'm grateful for that because I know of several "kids" their age who are either still figuring out what they want to do, or not doing so well at what they thought they wanted to do. It can be a tough age.
As for me, I feel in such a better place than I was last year at this time when I was in that teacher licensure program. I got a linkedin connection invite from my middle school classroom partner from last year. Looks like she too, left the program, and is now happier. Not saying the licensure program is all bad - just not for us. Well... it was kinda all bad... Maybe I'll count the ways someday as a cathartic exercise, but today is Silver Liningness Day, so, no.
Went out for Meksken food yesterday. El yummo. Here's Meego, clearly enjoying himself while out with Mom and Dad.
Anyway, my plan for today is to knock myself out with spring cleaning. We'll see how it goes.

"Please don't take another photo of me for your Facebook page mom!"
I was out cutting the grass today, a bit chilly round the willie but okay. :D
Teenagers: hard to keep them, can't throw them out of a running car. I remember crouching low in the backseat while out with mom and dad so no one would see me.
Hmmm... I've not had that particular sensation while cutting the grass, or otherwise.
And it was much easier for us. There were no cell phones or facebook back then!
We've been enjoying some beautiful springlike days here too. But I knew winter wasn't over! We're expecting a few inches of snow overnight. I know it won't last long.
Glad to hear that you're feeling more right about your education plan these days. I guess sometimes you have to go down the wrong path to figure out which one is the right one for you.
It's kind of refreshing to see Meego shy away from the camera. Too many kids these days are all too happy to have their pictures taken over and over and over....
Our spring break week forecast isn't looking all that springy either, but I know it's only temporary. And yes, I consider last year "educational" despite being so uneducational.
Yay for the equinox! May all our lives be filled with spring flowers and pleasant weather. Any April snow will be short-lived. Cute photo. I've got some of my brothers that look a lot like that :)
And pretty soon, we'll be complaining about the heat :P
I would not be surprised if we had snow over Easter - if is just a nasty cold here in England, cold and damp.
I couldn't even tell you the kind of weather we're having. The guests have been saying it's nice out, so I'll go with that.
Glad to hear you're still happy with your new education plan. And I'm happy (and a little jealous) that Wolfgang and Chaco are still on a path. Mine are having a difficult time deciding what they want. (Although so far Chip and Amp are still planning on attending a tech school in the fall! Woohoo!)
Poor Meego. Hopefully the Meksken food was worth all the embarrassment.
Damp is pretty typical for you isn't it? But snow??
Neither Magnum nor I got our bachelor's degrees on the 4-year plan, so I'm kinda holding my breath with Chaco and Wolfgang. So far, so good! And don't let Meego fool you, the Meksken food was mostly his idea.
