Skull

Okay, I'm totally cheating this week - cheater, cheater, punkin eater? - for Illustration Friday, where the prompt is "Skull".  I just couldn't think of anything pleasant from that prompt, so I pulled this jack-o-lantern from the archives.  It may have even appeared on the blog from when I first painted it. I don't remember the occasion, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't for Illustration Friday, so... there it is:  a pumpkin skull.

Besides, we're still in the aftermath of getting Chaco and Wolfgang moved out of the house and back into the dorms.  They pretty much did everything, and it's 90% done. Now I'm just relishing in being able to clean up and have the extra elbow room.

Also, earlier today, I went with them to get a few more essential items and to get Wolfgang some new eyeglasses.  His got scratched up a little in that longboarding mishap that took him out of the fourth of July half marathon.

So now, I guess the three of us are as ready as we're going to be for classes to begin on Monday.  I've got my books and have gotten some e-mails from the instructors.  I'm so glad I switched programs.  That teacher program was making my skull numb.

I was thinking that you were going for a new skull tat. Still, a pretty good illustration, even if you had to dig one out of the closet. Something along the line of the the Nightmare Before Christmas ala Tim Burton.

Aw! I love him! He deserves a second showing! (although I don't think I remember the first)
Nice to hear you almost have your house back. And I've been wondering how Wolfgang's doing. I'm hoping the healing process is moving right along.?

He is great! And glad you switched programs, too.

I wouldn't rule out a new tat, but never a skull! And BINGO to you! He is modeled after a Tim Burton character whose name I don't remember.

I don't remember why I painted him, but I'm usually happy to see him. Wolfgang's road rash healed up nicely, though he'll have scars to talk about for a while.

Thanks RK :)

Having scars to talk about means he always has a fallback conversation. It's always a good time to post a pumpkin skull, isn't it? He's adorable.

They are back already? Number One Son does not go back to Uni until the end of September!

Enjoy the space!

I was thinking the same thing. The Pumpkin is very Tim Burton.

I like your pumpkin skull. He reminds me of Jack Skellington in The Nightmare Before Christmas. ... Oh, I guess Agg already pointed that out. That's what I get for being so late to the party around here.
