This morning, Wolfgang and I snuck out while his brothers were still in bed and went to the grown-up art store. Omigosh, so many toys! I was good, though, and only got a couple of pencils.
After we returned, I was ready to make a contribution to this week's Illustration Friday where the prompt is "fragile".
Wolfgang and I had been discussing his damaged eyeglasses on the way home, so I chose that for my "fragile" subject. Then I decided to put them on a person. Then I decided to make the person damaged too.
What's the fragility? His eyeglasses? His nose? His ego? His hairline?
I think he's had better days.

Is he really fragile? He has warm eyes. That's what I notice the most. Great drawing!
Confidence. A bit on the fragile side.
A couple of extra art supplies mighta helped him out, methinks.
The more time I spent with him, the more I liked him. Maybe that's what "warmed" his eyes?
He does have a bit of a "yeah, but you should see the other guy" look...
