white powdery substance

Come Ona My House!

We're still fighting the snow wars, but all things considered, I rather like today.  Today is more of a typical spring snow - kinda wet, kinda fluffy, not too cold.

Way better than that cursed freezing rain driven by blustery wind that sends the ice pellets pitter pattering loudly against the hood of my jacket.

So yeah, it's actually quite pretty relatively speaking.  I took this pic a couple of hours ago, and we've actually gotten an appreciable amount of snow since then, but I don't think much more will come of it (famous last words).  And at least, it's not really sticking to the roads, just making them wet (famous last words).

The cat had been pacing by the back door, contemplating whether or not she would go out.  She can hear the birds and I know she wants to go hunting, but... oooh... snow...

I helped her out.  We both needed a bit of fresh air after a morning hermitage.  I rather enjoyed our little break, but she seems to share the prevailing attitude of winter in April:

I guess I can understand.  Her camouflage leaves much to be desired.

Ha. Looks like she made a beeline for under the table! WTF is right!

Well, at least it's a nicer snow. Even if Kat didn't think so. It must be quite confusing to hear birds yet see snow, and not so easy for her to sneak up on them. She stands out a little.
Seems to me that you've set yourself up for a fire-free summer, don't ya think?

I like getting an occasional new word from you to add to my vocabulary. Malocchio...now gotta figure out how to get it into a conversation. Ha!

Snow! Spring has sprung in Central Virginia...finally! I think it's going to stick around this time; that we won't revert to winter and snow. If we make it through April, it's a go.

A week or so ago, we had "summer" and acted like spoiled brats - complaining how we missed spring.

I like a good pic and video. Thanks for including it; especially when it stars "Kat!"

Fluffy snow. Haven't seen that in a while. I am sure Kat wasn't happy with the snow or the video (WTF? Cold & wet and you are filming this??? I am so going to poop somewhere inside). Take heart! Spring is almost sprung.

The snow IS kind of pretty. It's just that it's, ya know? April? And it doesn't belong here now!

Kat is cute! Love the way she looks at your as if to see if it's all okay, and then runs under the table to escape that vicious white stuff!

North and south of us got really dumped on - snow days for those kids. Sure helps the fire dangers, but I'm not gonna pull a "famous last words"!

She is a bit of a ham... in more ways than one.

She's not a fan of snow, at least she didn't retaliate on me too much! I know it will be warm and sunny... someday...

Yeah, I'd be loving this - if it was December!

Can't you give her a bath in peroxide or something? Help her blend it?

If you hadn't been brave enough to go out, I wouldn't have seen that beautiful cat. But she/he sure does have catitude.
