But with the nice weather comes reminders that it's nearly summer. School will be out in less than a month. Magnum pointed out a letter a local crossing guard (not me) had written to the newspaper op-ed page. The letter said, "School's not out YET. Get off your [censored] cell phones and follow the rules in school crossing zones!!" or something like that.
On that note, I had a visit from my motorcycle cop last week. Real life Avengers!
Speaking of movies...
Magnum and I watched Oyster Farmer, a fun enjoyable movie with great scenery and wonderful casting.
We also watched Born to Race with Meego. Clearly, I was not born to watch "Born to Race". *AHEM*
Work was good with some setbacks followed by victories, which is better than the other way around. It looks like a few of my students are going to stay on to keep things fresh over the summer, and that's nice.

The Oyster Farmer sounds like my kind of movie. Born 2 Race looks like something Mark and Jake would love and I would tolerate.
Don't you love this time of year? You never quite know whether to wear your summer clothes or your cold weather clothes!
Interesting movie choices. I wonder who picked BTR2? I would guess you didn't have much of a vote in that one.
You gotta love this time of year. The weather is just teasing you with warmer temps. Still, I'd trade you for your temps. Down here it is 78 at 0700. Harbinger of warmer days to come.
I'll have to check out Oyster Farmer. Looks like my kind of movie. Born to Race is something I would like to DO rather than WATCH. :)
We're having very summer like weather here in the midwest. It brews up some big storms, but I don't mind. It's exciting to watch big chunks of hail take off the new leaves on the trees. :/
Yesterday I put all my sweaters and turttlenecks away. That must be why it got cold again.
Correct! I had no say in the matter whatsoever on that movie choice. And now I know why half of Texas comes to Colorado during summer.
Hail?! Do you know a hail dance?? My roof project is still trying to launch!
Oh that's right!! Whatever we're doing around here is working, because there are quite a few homes and vehicles that have been damaged by hail - some baseball size. I don't think I've been dancing... but I'll try to figure out who has been and send them your way. :)
Here in the UK we've had almost a month of non-stop rain, which is unusual even for here! I'm finding it pretty depressing, so not only is hoodie weather, but jackets and umbrellas too. Not that I have an umbrella. :D
Pleasant weather, running, movies with the family, rewarding feeling from students - all very nice.
