And I can't leave without mentioning that this was tattoo week. It's been a fun experience from deciding to get one to finding a studio and getting it done.
There are some bad studios out there and some really ugly tattoos out there. I was very pleased with the studio and artist I found. I asked him how one becomes a tattoo artist. "Some people just buy a machine off of ebay...", he began. *shivers*
The kids finally went back to school on Thursday, so things have settled back into a cozy routine. I like a good sloth fest every now and then, but it can get old after a while.
With that, I also got back into the swing of the volunteer mom routine. It's nice to feel wanted... or maybe it's just that I'm cheap.

Sounds like you had a nice lil' weekend, there, love ^_^
Some people just buy a machine off of Ebay? Scary. Very Scary. Your tattoo turned out lovely, so I'm going to venture a guess that your artist has some real training and experience.
Lovely picture of your niece - she got married in CO, I am assuming? And strapless? Wow - I think I'd have been in my ski clothes! HAHA
Seriously, best wishes for the newlyweds. I just love weddings.
did you wear a gown to the wedding that showed off your fresh ink?
I love the photo of your niece and her new husband. They look so happy. :-)
Tattoo machines off ebay...yikes! I did a lot of research before I got mine too. A couple friends had also had work done by the same artist so it helped that I could see some of her finish product and get recommendations from people I trust.
Tattoo equipment off of e-bay? What's next? Getting your piercing tools from a garage sale? Now I know where to go to start my next career.
I bet you are sorry/glad to see the little urchins finally head back to school. Holiday vacations can sometimes be too much of a good thing.
