sanguinary spring

Meego be nimble
Meego be quick
Meego jump over the bush
"OH Sh**!"

Meego get road hash
Meego ooze blood
Meego just play
Don't mind the flood!

First Road Hash of Spring

Meego keep playing
Meego don't clean
Meego go get
The first road hash of spring!

The Shoe

Meego wash off
Meego don't stew
Meego get band-aids
And hand Mom the shoe

*Okay enough with the rhyming!*

Yes, Meego has earned the distinction of first road hash recipient of spring.  Not even 24 hours into the official start of spring break did he acquire this striking design!

He jumped over a bush but didn't, it's true.
He just kept right on playing, it's true.
He finally cleaned himself up, it's true.
He ultimately asked if I would clean his shoe.

I put him in the shower
We turned on the spray
I said, "no" to the shoe
And threw the sock away.

  1. Good going, Meego!

I envy you for your gift of rhyme--I've always found rhyming very difficult!

    1. Thank you, Scott. *trying to think of something that rhymes with "difficult"*

  2. By the looks of that shoe, that was some major road rash. But he's still smiling in the picture, so I guess he's okay. Wish I had the ability to bounce back from injury so easily!

    1. I know. I think my reaction would be to lie there and just bleed and not much else.

  3. A kid after my own heart! My knees have looked like his a few times in the past year, and I kept going as well! Way to go Meego! You've earned those 'stripes'. Show 'em off, tough guy! :)

    1. I'll tell him! That was my thought with the shoe - it's his badge of courage. Plus... like I'm really gonna to scrub a beat up shoe!

  4. Hehehe nice rhyme xD! Also, I hope Meego's foot is alright after that :3. That shoe looks pretty beat up :o.

  5. Love the 'ode' to the road rash.
Glad it did not appear to dim his spirit - he's still able to hold the game controller. And I think the shoe is now battle hardened.

  6. I'm running a 10k tomorrow. I hope I don't come back with my shoe looking like that; or my head, hand, or any other part of my being.

How does this rate on the scale of "incidents" with your boys? :)
