Not the boxy one, the teeny tiny one. He folds himself up every morning and crawls in there to drive to work and unfolds himself every evening when he gets home. Gets GREAT gas mileage.Beejhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10376712079333013052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3168047058963833173.post-31031594491433538642010-03-07T11:46:01.852-07:002010-03-07T11:46:01.852-07:00I don't know about the smart-car. Unless they get bigger, though, I don't really see them catching on.Adamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01310074029631952955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3168047058963833173.post-51022976862953737622010-03-06T14:23:47.666-07:002010-03-06T14:23:47.666-07:00I'm a fan of the SmartCar, or at least of the ...I'm a fan of the SmartCar, or at least of the "take only what you need" philosophy it stands for (hey, you and I ride bikes [mine just has a motor...]). My mom's Prius is getting 53 mpg right now and you can fit a smart car IN it, haha. I guess is space was a premium (like in Japan or something - think crowded crowded streets, etc) then this might be handy, but seriously - two people and not much else fits in it.Judyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14858511221598789469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3168047058963833173.post-87712786619765559162010-03-06T08:38:11.105-07:002010-03-06T08:38:11.105-07:00I agree with your assessment of the Smart Car. Imagine if it was a semi truck! And driving one in a Minnesota winter is just plain crazy. Maybe they should rename it the Crazy Car.terrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12510457113017189354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3168047058963833173.post-64552601257692830342010-03-05T18:15:03.018-07:002010-03-05T18:15:03.018-07:00Your sketch pretty much nails it. I don't think he appreciated my comment that it looked like it would fit in the back of my landbarge as a "spare car". Anyone who gets one of those out on the open highway, much less up to 70 mph has got to have a set of cajones (or the stupids). Great if you are driving on a go-cart track.agg79https://www.blogger.com/profile/08925069219602681862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3168047058963833173.post-10145666662712313462010-03-05T15:23:45.612-07:002010-03-05T15:23:45.612-07:00that sounds just foolish, not brave.

PLus their gas MPG is not anywhere near the touted 41mpg (word onthe street is a prius only averages about 30 mpg too, not the 50 they brag about)

I guess they are really only good if you are in a city situation and have to park in really tight spaces.brandy101https://www.blogger.com/profile/17279874906424110849noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3168047058963833173.post-61178850884953925392010-03-05T10:19:57.075-07:002010-03-05T10:19:57.075-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.brandy101https://www.blogger.com/profile/17279874906424110849noreply@blogger.com
