She is an amazing teacher and mom...all wrapped up in one!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3168047058963833173.post-20211857709541572242009-01-10T12:39:00.000-07:002009-01-10T12:39:00.000-07:00Well, I was hired into the public school system in...Well, I was hired into the public school system in 1988 and learned all about tenure. I dealt with reality until 1994 when I left, shook the dust off my feet and never turned my head to look back. It's actually quite sad because I think that I was a good, caring teacher who loved her subject and loved her kids. It was just too much to take and the call of a new baby at home was so much stronger than the catterwalling at the school.

My city has JUST annexed itself from the giant Mobile County School System. This is our first year as a separate school district. I have high hopes. We shall see.Beejhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10376712079333013052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3168047058963833173.post-28776972601506103232009-01-09T18:04:00.000-07:002009-01-09T18:04:00.000-07:00Having worked at my kids' school after several yea...Having worked at my kids' school after several years of them attending, I have to say I'm not surprised by your realization. What I found out is that what the parents see in the teachers is often an act. Behind the scenes, there were often very different (and very jaded) personalities. A rare few teachers were truly as genuine as they had always seemed prior to my employment. And this was a private grade school.terrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12510457113017189354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3168047058963833173.post-51766374072348004022009-01-09T17:41:00.000-07:002009-01-09T17:41:00.000-07:00I'm going to refrain from commenting.. The staff, and teachers all seem to put your kid first.

For example, I got a personal phone call from my son's math teacher just this morning telling me Kody passed his test with flying colors and that he was sure it was due to having studied. He just wanted me to know that I had a good kid. How cool is that!?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3168047058963833173.post-65902479732000818542009-01-09T16:24:00.000-07:002009-01-09T16:24:00.000-07:00what about the people that shell out big ole fat s...what about the people that shell out big ole fat stax of cash to go to private school, surely they love their kids' schools?Dublehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02190409363173023079noreply@blogger.com
