in time, you slipped away

Meego informed me this morning that his phone is on the fritz.  My usual fix of "turn it off and turn it on again"  is, surprisingly,  not working.

I also noticed this morning that the fridge seems to be just going through the motions of a fridge.  Running, but not fridging like it should be.

In addition, caring mother that I am, I leave sweet little daily missives for Meego that force let him answer a fun "question of the day" (QOD) during the summer to keep the brain from going into hibernation.

Throw in the various pets and their various needs, and it's the little things like this that keep me secure in my position of House Wench.  Somebody's gotta oversee and manage this complex infrastructure.

But not this House Wench.  Not today.  I've got a weekend away planned without the guys.  Just me and several hundred of my closest friends.  We are set to launch shortly.

So, is my refrigerator running?  Why yes.  Yes it is.  Somebody else better go catch it.

  1. I like your QOD idea. I think it does show you're sweet and caring. And I'm sorry your fridge isn't fridging. But really, I just wanna know where you're going. Will I have to wait til Monday to find out?

    1. Well, I did think of you this weekend - in appreciation of the hotel that had to put up with us.

  2. Hmmm... I'm letting my family off easy. I write things on white boards and a little chalkboard, but they're more inspirational.

What is this weekend away with hundreds of close friends ... and ShadowRun and I are not included???? Okay, so I can sort of guess what this might be about and am pretty sure I would not be qualified to participate so, I forgive you. :-)

As for the fridge, did you try unplugging it and plugging it back in again?

  3. Er.... Is the answer 36?

Time for a new fridge, I guess. I replaced my fridge last summer. The new one is doing well! I found researching online reviews very helpful.

    1. The answer is 36. See why I said "no calculators"? He'll thank me some day.

  4. That's my favorite tech tip! It's surprising how often it works, and I get to look like I know something when I don't actually know anything.

  5. I like the math problem in concept, but I'm too lazy to figure it out :) Good luck with the fridge!

  6. Ugh. I hate math. Therefore I shall always find good use of a calculator!

  7. My iPad froze once in a while and I did the reset things again and again.
Buying a new one? Nope. I already have my smart phone and netbook.
