Silver Liningness Sunday

Dear poor neglected blog.  I know it's been a whole week since I last visited.  The week was busy, but good busy, and not overwhelmingly so.  It's just that, during the non-busy bits, I didn't much feel like hanging out on the computer, y'know?

But it's all temporary, I'm sure.  Particularly since we're heading into the cold months.  There is finally snow on Pikes Peak, but I'm not going to show a pic of it because everyone and their grandma took pictures of snow on the Peak and then posted them on the internet this week.  Not doing it.

It was a lovely day yesterday, however, so Magnum and I took advantage once again.  Meego was up north at the state HS band competition, so Magnum and I played empty-nesters and took a bike ride on a trail we've been meaning to check out but hadn't gotten around to.

It was a very pleasant day for it, and this trail added to the pleasantness.  It took us all the way to Garden of the Gods.

Here's the well-known "Kissing Camels" rock formation in the background.  Last one to spot it's a rotten egg.

So a very nice ride on a very nice trail.  I'm sure we'll hit it again.  And surprisingly, it wasn't at all crowded, considering it was a weekend with nice weather.  Heading back, we were able to fly along like hellions!  Well... like 50-something hellions on bicycles anyways.

In other news, I was at the vet's with Napolion this week for his annual poking and prodding.  He got another clean bill of health despite all the filthy rodents he kills and eats.  Here he is trying to crash the vet's network in retaliation...

My reign as PEO queen came to a close this week as the real president has returneth.  I actually rather enjoyed filling in, but I'm glad she's back and I can go back to being a slug VP.

In movie news, we didn't watch any movies.  But we did dig in to season 5 of Walking Dead.  We watch on Netflix, so we're always  a season behind - no spoilers, please!  Season 5 looks to be as dark and delicious as ever!

Winter is definitely coming, but what a wonderful fall we've had! Hard not to get out and enjoy it, even if it means a neglected blog.
Glad Napolion's fit as a fiddle. He doesn't appear to be nervous about being there. He really IS a stud!
No spoilers about Walking Dead from me. I'm so far removed from TV and movies these days, but we did just watch "The Way Back". Set back in the 1930s, it's about some men who walk 4000 miles to escape from a Siberian labor camp to freedom. I thought it was good.
Anyway, hope your next week is just as good as this one!

Bosco got ring worm from a mouse he caught a few years ago. Ugh. Good mouser but he tends to get sick a lot.

3 episodes in to season six and it is turning out to be one of the best seasons. I won't spoil anything but just thought you should know that you're in for a treat when you get to the next season.

Yes, Napolion's a stud and he KNOWS it.
I've heard of "The Way Back", but haven't seen it. Might have to check it out!

I always get a deworming for Napolion when we go for his annual checkups to play it safe. It seems reasonable, all things considered!
Thanks for the non-spoiler tip!

Gorgeous scenery! And...I bet he has bitten through your cord by now?

Don't give him any ideas!

Finally got to watch Sharknado 3. Oh dear, one of the worst movies I have ever seen and I consider myself a vet of many bad movies...

Lovely mountainous photos! Glad you found some time to get out and enjoy good weather before the snow becomes a permanent fixture.

We got a bit of snow here this week, mixed with rain. Of course, everyone forgot how to drive.

Cats never react well to have things shoved up their arses do they? I can't understand why.

The first Sharknado was probably THE worst movie I've seen. I can only imagine Sharknado 3's awfulness!

We haven't yet had snow down here in the lowlands, but I'll bet our drivers will be worse than yours!

It's a wonder he stays as composed as he does! I'm sure he thinks it's all my fault.
