Silver Liningness Sunday

The first full week of summer break has been a good one.  It didn't take long for me to get used to the idea of not going to class everyday I tellya.  And I'm glad I've got a couple of tutor students to keep me from going total slob.

Once we got all of the dorm stuff sorted, our house feels like home again.  It's certainly not as minimal as I'd prefer, and there's still a bit of sorting to do, but it's all relative, and it's nice having Chaco and Wolfgang home. Poor Meego is still in school for another week, and having his brothers hanging out in full summer form until their jobs start up is not particularly motivating when it comes time for homework!

The three of us - Chaco, Wolfgang, and I - took a day trip this week to visit my parents.  Neither of them is getting any younger, so it's good to visit. All things considered, they were in good spirits and we had a nice time together.

In movie news, we watched World War Z.  I didn't have high expectations for that one, and it pretty much lived up to them.  Not spectacular, not a waste of time.

Django Unchained was quite fun, though.

Observant visitors may have noticed that I have a blog list over there on my sidebar now.  I actually spent an appreciable amount of time trying to get that freaking widget to work!

If you don't see your blog and feel it's been ignored in error, it could be that you just haven't updated recently enough.  Yes, my blog list compels you to update!

Or the freaking widget isn't working correctly.

Or your house is too clean.

Love the new widget! I'm pretty far down on the list, but at least I'm ON it. I wish wordpress had such a widget, or maybe they do and I just can't figure out how to add it.
Sounds like another great week was had by you and the abbynormals. Except for maybe Meego. Poor guy. Hopefully he at least has a three day weekend?
I've watched a couple of good movies recently too... Mud and The Legend of Baggar Vance. Seen 'em?

Oooh, the pressure! It has been post-event week, lots to do. That's my excuse.

Oh, just great. I already feel bad about not posting more and now you are just rubbing it in my face. I'll have to come up with some piddle posts just to stay ahead of Shadowrun.

Watched both movies. As usual, your reviews are pretty spot on. Not overly impressed with WW. There are better zombie movies out there. Django Unchained was pretty good. Like most Tarantino movies, they are very interesting to follow. I just finished up the Hobbit #2 movie. Got the Dallas Buyers Club in the queue next. I have a few mindless ones in the NetFlix rotation just to fill the time.

Well get yourself up to the top of the list, you can do it!!
Yes, Meego at least gets a long weekend, hangin' in there.
I haven't seen either of those movies, Magnum was recently lobbying for Mud, but we've yet to see it. I'm not surprised you liked MUD!

No excuses, unless accompanied by a note from your mom.

I have to be in the right mood for Q Tarantino. I've yet to see Pulp Fiction, but I'll watch anything with Christoph Waltz.

Now, go get yourself on the list!

Pulp Fiction is a must-see! Thanks for the inclusion on your blog list--cool widget. I still have four more weeks before summer vacation.

Dang, I am bottom of the list! Looks like I need to do another post!

FOUR more weeks! I'll let Meego know. That might help him feel better.

It's like being on the edge of a cliff isn't it!?

Aww thanks for listing my blog on your side bar! And I only wrote my post a day ago and it's already 4th of your list! Ha.

... and you know my views on a clean house.

Enjoy your break from school. I know you work plenty hard at it. But I also know that you're not one to sit on the couch eating bon-bons, so it's good you've got some tutoring to keep you on some kind of a schedule.

Everyone is home under one roof again! Enjoy it while you can. We both know the summer months (and really, these few short college years) go by too quickly and they're out again.

Love your new blogroll! I see me over there, so I must be updating regularly enough. This reminds me that I have a blogroll... which I'm sure is unbelievably out of date.
