Silver Liningness Sunday

This was a good week.  Things have settled down somewhat, and I was able to get in some free time / me time.  I cleaned.  It was good.  It's not over.  It's never over.

On the homefront, things have settled nicely back into a school-time routine.  Pets are growing, as I mentioned earlier that King Reese has undergone his first shedding since we got him.  It's a sign of good health, so that was nice to see.

We've also determined that Kat No-Name is also still growing.  She's not just chubby, but we've noticed she's gotten bigger all over.  She's also not as skittish as she was at first.  She used to mainly just hang out in the lower floor as that's where we put her when we first brought her home.  For one, her comfort food is there.  But lately she's been hanging around with the masses and has begun sleeping around, spending her nights with various family members.

Work in Tutorville is nicely steadily busy.  I am needing to turn students away since as soon as I get an opening in my schedule, it's quickly filled.

This morning, I had a beautiful bike ride with the lovely Tessa.  There was no wind to speak of, and the temperature stayed around 60F.  I snapped a pic of the gas station I don't require backdropped against the mountains, just before the fun downhill plunge toward Mouse Town.

And speaking of bicycling, we all went to see Premium Rush.  Magnum and I decided to go, and Wolfgang and Meego tagged along.  As expected it was light on plot and character development, yet heavy on action and adrenaline.  Joseph Gordon- ("JoGo" to me) Levitt is yet another of my Cougar Crushes and I wasn't disappointed.  Fun movie!

Sixty degrees on a lovely bike ride. Sigh.

So glad there are tutors like you.

Ohhh! JoGo! I didn't get it the first time. :)
I listened to a preview of the movie on my way home today. I'm sure the action and excitement makes up for the lack of plot. Were you tempted to weave in and out of traffic on your bike ride?
Glad to hear Kat's settling in. For a second I worried you were going to tell us she was "with kittens", but then I remembered you had that taken care of. Whew!
The mountains are as beautiful as I remember. **sigh**

60 degrees? We won't see those temps down here until probably October. With that kind of weather, it is no wonder you make some miles on your run/rides.

And your description of KNN (Kat No Name) reminds me of one of our Golden Beginnings group who has a Golden Retriever that is, how do you say, a bit of a challenge. She is pretty much into everything, very non-Goldenesque. She even has an official nickname - NNBD (No No, Bad Dog).

I WAS tempted to go all urban bicycle ninja after the movie! The Sunday morning suburban traffic didn't accommodate me. That's probably a good thing.

Sometimes I take our nice weather for granted, but yesterday morning was crappy windy and a nice reminder to stop and smell the calm sunshine.

I think if I was to run in Texas summer, I'd do it only whiningly. Maybe that's NNBD's issue.

Things definitely seem to be going your way. Getting things under control at home, plenty of business, happy pets... sounds like everyone is content around your place.

I really like JoGo too. Not only is he easy on the eyes, but I think he's a good actor.

I'll have to see that film. "JoGo" really is entirely too attractive.

Fast bicycles... JoGo... who needs a plot?

Well, there is that stack of paperwork I've yet to get to, but yep, I'd say it's all good :)
