dark night

I think I can speak for the majority of residents when I say that Colorado is tired of being in the news... not that I'd wish such news items on anyone else.

We woke up this morning to the news of the Batman shootings, and I immediately felt all expletive.  I'm sure that plenty of the people at the midnight showing in Aurora were just some sci-fi/fantasy loving people we most likely rubbed elbows with at Denver Comic Con.

It's hard to be a mom.  What do we do?  Stop going to movies?  Stop going to midnight openings?  Tell our kids they can't go?  Chaco and Wolfgang both enjoy attending midnight openings, and what's not to enjoy?

Usually.

My daughter saw the news on a film website this morning and we were so upset to hear it. Sometimes the world really does seem to have gone mad when horrors occur like this. All I can think about is the families involved. How awful.

That was terrible. There are some truly sick people around.

I thought the same thing when I heard the news this morning. Poor Colorado. Can you all handle anymore heartbreak?
I guess you gotta let your kids continue to do things, but it's definitely scary.

Such heartbreak. There is really know way to know who or what will happen, so you really can't prevent it unless you want to lock yourself in a room and not live. I am truly sad over these types of killings. Schools, restaurants, movies...Just awful.

Indeed it is--and it's getting worse. I can certainly understand why so many people wish for the "Rapture" to occur soon.

Horrible. It just cannot be. It is so difficult to believe yet it happened and people are having to deal with this horrible tragedy. Such a terribly sick mind to be able to take lives like this.

I thought the exact same things when I heard the news yesterday. An absolutely horrific tragedy that no one should have to experience or witness. With all the tragedy that Colorado has suffered recently, we've redoubled our prayers for you guys.

Tragic news. My 17 year old daughter is at a music festival for 3 days now and I worry about her, because you just never know what may happen, but what do you do, stop them going to anything incase someone sick decides to throw a wobbly?

It's just impossible to wrap your head around something like this.
