Prepare

Hey, it's Illustration Friday on Saturday time!  This week's prompt is "prepare", so I did this racehorse and groom.

I love to watch horse racing.  I don't gamble, I just love to watch the horses.  All that beauty, power, and grace rolled into one for a race that lasts about 2 minutes.  And it's amazing all the preparation that goes into a 2-minute race.  Maybe I'll put The Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes or Preakness on my bucket list.

And I'm hoping maybe if I'm good this time around, I can come back in my next life as a racehorse.  Total badass filly.

The old expression goes: Chance favors the prepared mind. If you come back as a horse would it be with a tattoo?

Ha A79. I don't know if they still tattoo their inner lips. I'd hope for a pretty, edgy, flattering brand on the rear.

I love the way you used color and left off some of the finer detail. The effect is really neat.

I love horses but don't watch horse racing. That much said, one of my favorite books in the last few years is "Seabiscuit" (but not the movie, which was not faithful enough to the real story, imo). I also saw the documentary about Barbaro and cried like a baby.

I love the colors and the contrast! Riding a horse fast across an open field, is a powerful feeling; it also showed me my place in the world...:)
