sink

Time for some Illustration Friday on Saturday action.  This week's prompt is "sink".

I was thinking along the lines of becoming submerged - not necessarily literally submerged, but to have one's mind become totally occupied with something.  Like the way a kid's mind can become totally submerged after he sinks into the mud.

Or the way one can become totally submerged while drawing a kid playing in the mud...

Heisann!

Your drawing gives me a feeling of summer. We need this feeling just now in the middle of darkness!

Merry Christmas ;:OD)

Your drawing brought back a memory of my son covered from head to toe in the mud. I am so glad I took a photo that day of him. It all goes by so fast. Very nice drawing--thanks for the memory :)

Cute. Nothing is as focused (or messy) as a kid playing in the mud.

I really like the idea of becoming submerged in an idea of an activity. I love how kids do that--become totally engrossed in what they're doing. And us adults--we're so distracted by everything we have to do.

Charming drawing!
