disguise

Holy paper and pencils!  It's Illustration Friday again!  This week's prompt is "disguise", and I tried to come up with something clever, but ended up just going with a guy in a costume.

I don't think I've ever drawn a comic book type character.  But I do have a couple of artist/comic book geek friends, and that is ALL they draw.  And Batman is a favorite subject, I think because he's just so dark and mysterious.

So, I chose him for my "guy in a costume", and I'll admit that he was fun to draw.

He's always been one of my favorites! It's his dark persona. I love B/W, the contrasts is wonderful! :)

Certainly a favorite of mine! I know what you mean trying to come up with something clever, this weeks Illustration Friday was very open in concept creation.

Check out what I have done for this weeks topic: http://alexlikestodraw.com/2011/08/illustration-friday-sketch-disguise/

That's a great rendition of the Dark Night. I think you've nailed his personna very well. And that's not just the inner geek in me talking.

You've captured him very well. Personally, I think he looks most like the Val Kilmer version of Batman.

I agree with Terri!

I think it looks like Mr. mom. Oh wait, never mind. Nicely done.

Great idea for the topic; nothin' wrong with a guy in a costume! I like your drawing very much. Great pencil work and it really captures the feel of the Batman movies.
